You asked for more questions and we listened. New Movie Buff app will be coming your way very soon!
We have created a full version Movie Buff app loaded with over 4500 questions from different categories! So if you thought the original app was too easy with only 2 categories of actors and directors, get ready to be truly challenged.
But that is not all. We have added iPod library integrations, so you can choose your background music from your collection adding to the excitement. The new Movie Buff also lets you share your results on Twitter and Facebook…
On top of all this, the new Movie Buff comes with a brand new stylish interface to match the new super functionalities.
We still wanted to offer a free version for the Movie Buff, so we have decided to offer the old Movie Buff as a Lite version. We will of course still upgrade the functionality and interface.
Stay tuned for our release announcements.

I’ve been reading a couple of (game and software) design books recently and I wanted to share some of the key lessons that I’ve come across :
“When in doubt, make it simple. Pare the feature list to the minimum and create an application that does one simple thing. When you see how people use and respond to the application, you might choose to create another version of the application with a slightly shifted focus or altered presentation. Or, you might discover a need for a more (or less) detail-oriented version of the same concept.”
“Design your games as play experiences, not visual experiences.”
“Limit yourself to one major innovation per game.”
“”Let’s get some code up and running, then we’ll get to designing the game!” = FAILURE”
So what we need to do is to always ask:
Then identify “three types of requirements:
And finally “write a product definition statement by first defining users followed by distilling the list of features into a single statement with the image of your user audience in mind.”

We’ve decided to release an initial update for Persian Poems that improve it’s current (and core) features before adding new features such as Micro-Payment and Facebook / twitter sharing. Also Persian Poems Vol 2 is ready to go.
Here’s a list of the improvements to the app :
* Many bug fixes
* Persian biographies for poets
* Improved the poem browser performance (It’s so much smoother now !!! )
* Added a feature to jump directly to a specific poem via search screen (by entering it’s number in the search bar.)
* New graphics for bookmark dialog
* Added loading screen for large chapters that take a while to load
* Improved the icons in the app
Vol II includes 2 books from Attar and Khayyam and 2 books from Molavi (AKA Molana) while sharing all of the above features/improvements.
Please note that Apple reviews all new apps and app updates for an average of 2 weeks before posting it to the App store.
The sharing features that were mentioned in our previous post (Update On Pesian Poems) will still come, at a later date.
